Privacy Policy
Effective July 26, 2026
Brick HQ is a LEGO® collection and investment tracking app operated by Brick HQ LLC, a North Carolina company ("Brick HQ," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what the app needs to work, we don't run ads, and we don't sell your data.
Information you give us
- Account details. Your email address, a password (stored in encrypted form — we never see it in plain text), an optional username, and your country.
- Collection data. The sets, minifigures, and parts you track, along with details you choose to enter such as purchase prices, purchase dates, condition, build status, sale prices, and notes.
- Alerts and lists. Price alerts you set, your watchlist, and any custom lists you create.
- Feedback. Anything you send us through the in-app feedback form.
Information collected automatically
- Usage basics. Standard technical logs generated when the app talks to our servers, such as request times and error reports, used to keep the service running and diagnose problems.
- Push notification token. If you enable notifications on a physical device, we store the device token needed to deliver your price alerts. Nothing else about your device is collected for this.
- Search history. Your recent in-app searches are stored on your device only, separated per account. They are not sent to our servers.
- Crash reports. If the app crashes, technical crash data (device model, OS version, and what the app was doing when it crashed) is sent to Sentry so we can find and fix the problem. These reports do not include your personal details.
Payments
Subscriptions can be purchased on our website (processed by Stripe) or inside the app through Apple's or Google's in-app purchase systems. Payment details such as your card number go directly to Stripe, Apple, or Google — we never receive or store them. We receive only what's needed to know your subscription is active (for example, a customer identifier and subscription status).
Where price data comes from
The catalog and pricing information shown in the app (set details, parts and minifigure data, retail prices, secondary-market values) comes from third-party catalog and market-data sources and publicly available retailer pricing. Requests for this data are made by our servers — these providers do not receive your personal information from us. Attribution for specific sources appears in the app where their data is shown.
What we use your information for
- Running the app: storing your collection, calculating portfolio values, delivering alerts.
- Keeping your account secure and providing support.
- Managing your subscription.
- Improving the app based on aggregate usage and feedback.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. The app contains no third-party advertising.
Who we share information with
- Service providers that host and run the app on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe and Apple (payments), Expo (push notification delivery), and Sentry (crash and error reporting). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Brick HQ or others.
- Business transfers. If Brick HQ is ever acquired or merged, your information may transfer with the business under this same policy or one at least as protective.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your collection data, sales history, minifigures, builds, lists, alerts, and account record are permanently deleted.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time inside the app: Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Step-by-step instructions: brickhq.app/delete-account.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and edit your collection data at any time in the app.
- You can turn push notifications off in your device settings.
- You can delete your account and all associated data in the app.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact us and we'll help.
Children
Brick HQ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Your data is protected in transit with encryption and stored with a hosting provider that maintains industry-standard security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we design the app so that each account can only access its own data.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
